Term 4 Week 5 Diary

Term 4 Week 5 at kindy –

  • This week read a story about another creature that ate and ate and grew and grew. It was “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” The story illustrated another lifecycle where the creature started it’s life as an egg and then changed as it’s life progressed. We also used this story to practise the days of the week as well as testing our memory. On Saturday the caterpillar ate 10 different treat foods and we tried to remember them all without looking at the picture. No wonder he had a tummy ache.
  • For craft this week we made a caterpillar and then decorated a brown paper bag to look like a cocoon. We placed the caterpillars in their cocoons and now they are hanging up in kindy. We will leave them there for 2 weeks and then hopefully they will turn into beautiful butterflies.
  • We are all enjoying the different obstacle courses our friends are designing. The plans they draw make it very easy for us to follow what we have to do on each piece of equipment. Well done to the designers so far.
  • This week is Miss Kent’s last week at our kindy. We have all enjoyed the activities she presented looking at making groups with similar features and patterning. We hope she has enjoyed her time at HCK. Thankyou Miss Kent.
  • Week 6 looks like it is going to be full of fun.
