Term 1 Week 8 at kindy

  • This week we have been looking at what it means to live in Australia and the things we do because we are Australian. We looked at all the special animals that only live in Australia as well as some of the sports we like to play.
  • At the beginning of the week we had an Australian dress up day where we all came dressed as something typically Australian. We had life savers, footballers, people dress in the Australian flag and we even had kangaroos, a koala and a red back spider.
  • Thank you to some of our parents who came back to kindy to cook the delicious sausages for us. We enjoyed listening to them sizzle. The teachers’ even gave us a cool treat afterwards with a yummy icy pole. What a great day and it made us realise how lucky we are to live in Australia.
  • It was very sad to see Mrs Bausor leave us to go and teach some other children. Luckily Mrs Langley came to join us and she brought her guitar which means lots more singing.
  • Did you know that when you run you need to look where you are running with your eyes up, arms pumping and your legs must kick up behind you. If we keep on practising we will be really fast runners for our Sports Day!
